Serves 5
Ingredients
¼ cup of grapeseed oil or avocado oil
1 bulb of garlic, peeled, chopped
8 oz. container of brown button mushrooms, stemmed, cleaned, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. of S² Original Table Seasoning, Chef JL Michaels’ seasoning, divided
5 bunches of kale, stemmed, washed, chopped
2 ½ cups salt-free vegetable stock, divided
Sea salt to taste
Directions
- Add oil to large skillet. On medium heat sauté garlic until fragrant, around 45 seconds.
- Add mushrooms. Increase heat to high, add a few pinches of salt and ½ Tbsp. of S2 Seasoning, stir. Cook 5 mins.
- Add half the kale. Combine with mushroom mixture. Stir in 1 ½ cup of stock and remaining S2 Seasoning.
- Reduce heat to medium. Simmer 5 mins. until kale is wilted.
- Add remaining kale and remaining cup of stock. Cover and simmer 10 mins. Remove lid, season to taste.

Tip: Choose a variety of kale such as curly and dinosaur to add more flavor and texture.
